Meet Anna | Assistant Personal Training Coach at DreamBody

Updated: Jan 27, 2020

Hello friends, my name is Anna Smither Semon. Yes, I have two last names now because I was kind enough to take on my hub's last name, even though it is a handful of words to say.

So let's start with a fun fact. In the picture above, I am holding a cochlear implant. I am holding this device because it is a part of my life, meaning I am deaf in both ears and use this device every day to help me hear. Not a lot of people who have met me knows this about me because you don't notice it when you first meet me because I do talk clearly (thanks to speech therapy and cued speech). I do know sign language, not fluently though, but I can carry a conversation.

Back to business now, I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I played multiple sports growing up, mainly soccer, through school club, and international. I do still play soccer now, that will probably never end for me. Playing sports growing up is what inspired me to stay active and learn more about wellness.

I graduated with a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science from Meredith College. I have coached soccer in all ages, such as college, high school, middle and even elementary level. I absolutely loved coaching, but wanted to expand in age diversity so with that being said, I am officially a wellness coach/personal trainer.

If you ever want to learn more about me, please do not hesitate to reach out! I absolutely love meeting new peeps and learning more about your story.

Now let's end with another fun fact, my husband, Kyle, and I are renovating a school bus to turn into our tiny house on wheels. It is definitely a learning process but goodness, it is an awesome experience to learn! Meet Winston, our school bus.
